No. 3 road art colomns at Lansdowne Station in the nighttime
Corners of Richmond, 2025
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀In collaboration with the Grand Prix of Art Steveston, an annual plein air painting challenge and art exhibition that takes place along Steveston’s historic waterfront, and Richmond’s Public Art Program, “the work of Sichen Grace Chen, D.F. Gray, and Scott Pleydell-Pearce has been digitally reproduced and installed in the large, backlit display cases at the base of three concrete support columns located along No. 3 road.”
Artist Statement
"These reproductions of plein air paintings in watercolour, gouache, and pencil crayon explore Richmond's quiet and energetic moments. Embodying atmosphere and colour, these paintings invite viewers to reflect and savour beautiful everyday landscapes."
The installation is on view from February 1 to July 31 at the Lansdowne Station.
